From there we travel to the Cape Point, a breathtaking rocky promontory. The Cape Point tour returns to Cape Town by way of Simonās Town where we visit the Penguin colony at Boulders beach (for own account) and Fish Hoek fishing village.

AQUILA SAFARI TOUR
This is an excellent safari experience that is only a 2-hour drive from Cape Town. We travel up the N1 Highway, through the breathtaking Hex River Valley, to the Aquila Private Game Reserve. Our journey continues into the beautiful Hemel en Aarde Valley (Heaven and Earth) to the Bouchard Finlayson Wine Estate, where we are treated to a wine tasting.
MARINE BIG 5 TOUR

ROBBEN ISLAND HERITAGE TOUR
We take a ferry from the V & A Waterfront to Robben Island. For nearly three centuries, Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years, was a place of isolation, housing many political prisoners and serving as both an asylum and a leprosy colony. Today, the island stands as a tangible symbol of political freedom and a reminder of South Africa’s difficult path to democracy.

TOWNSHIP CULTURAL TOUR
This is once-in-a-lifetime journey through three South Africas: the birthplace, where it all began; Apartheid South Africa, what happened then; and the New South Africa, what has changed since Nelson Mandela’s release from prison. The first stop after leaving Cape Town’s city center is in the Bo-Kaap. In this section, we discuss the arrival of a Dutch sailing expedition in 1652, which proved to be a watershed moment in South African history. Your tour guide explains how the framework for racial segregation was established during a short walk along the romantic cobblestone streets between the brightly colored homes.
A short drive brings us to District Six, where we elaborate on the next tier in the South African story, namely Apartheid South Africa, after passing some of Cape Town’s landmarks. Once in District Six, we drive through the now-decreasing ruins of what was once a thriving mixed-race community with 60 000 residents and workers, but was demolished to make way for a white-only community.
The tour continues to Langa, Cape Town’s oldest Black African Township. Along the way, we discuss the Apartheid regime’s restrictive legislation designed to enforce racial segregation. When we arrive in Langa, we make a photo stop at the site of the 1976 student uprising and talk about the Pass Laws and the barracks built for African migrant workers.
